Dear Member,

As a part of celebrations of #AzadikaAmritMahotsav to commemorate India@75 and 75th anniversary of Indian Association Geneva the Indian Association Geneva Executive team takes great pleasure in inviting you, your family, and friends to the much awaited and most popular celebrations of the year Fifth Edition of NAMASTE GENEVA 2022 – Celebration of DIWALI, GURPURAB, MILAD-UN-NABI and CHRISTMAS.

For this year’s celebration, we have lined up very special artists from Switzerland and India showcasing rich culture of India from folk dances to mesmerizing Live Bollywood singing at College de Saussure, Vieux-Chemin-d'Onex 9, 1213 Petit-Lancy on Saturday 19 November 2022 starting 16:00hrs.

"Leela" is an extraordinary dance production that brings out the diversity of Indian dance. Indian dance is much more than Bollywood or classical dance! It's about emotions, dreams, desires and wonderful music. "Leela" takes the viewer on a sensual journey that he will never forget. 14 dancers, together with folk dance exponent Stuti Aga and classical dancer Sharmila Rao, present passionate choreographies that reflect Indian dance in all its facets.

Dr. Sharmila Rao is a Swiss born Indian classical dancer with over 30 years of stage experience. Her roots lie in Baden (AG), where her mother Vijaya Rao has been running a successful dance school for Bharata Natyam for 40 years. Sharmila danced in major Indian dance productions as a teenager and performed throughout Europe and India.

Stuti Aga studied Indian classical dance Bharata Natyam, but has now specialized in Indian folk dances. Stuti moved to Zurich, Switzerland, more than 10 years ago, where she has been working as a computer scientist ever since. In her spare time she gives courses in various Indian dance styles. Stuti is incredibly passionate about dance and nothing brings her more joy than creative expression through music and movement.

Amit Sinha is a genuine artist, a student of life. A musician who is looking to expand its horizons. A performer par excellence who can energize souls with merely his presence. A multi-talented showman whose capabilities are limited by no boundaries. Amit started off by singing famous songs of Kishore Kumar at the age of 15, now he is well versed to sing songs of various singers since his voice is so versatile that it can fit for almost all kinds of Bollywood, Sufi, Qawwali and the ultimate.. unplug (most demanded section) songs.

Ankita Bramhe makes the crowd go mad with her beautiful voice. Ankita has been performing since she was 12 years old. She was placed 5th in the judged round of Indian Idol in 2011.She is a SANGEET VISHARAD in Indian Classical Music, and has trained in the "Kirana Gharana" style. In 2012, she received a Bachelor of Engineering, but her love for music took the center stage, which is also reflected in her extremely busy schedule of live performances.
